FULL ITINERARY

SLOVENIA

We are delighted to offer this superb tour to one of the most unspoilt countries in Europe. The Adriatic coastal town of Portoroz is our base for this tour. You will be staying for 7 nights on a half board basis in the 4 star Hotel Histrion. The Hotel Histrion is located next to the former monastery church that gives the name to the hotel complex. Its comfortably furnished rooms with balconies overlook the sea or the Laguna Bernardin.

DAY 1             FRIDAY  MAY  11th

You depart Dublin on your direct flight to  Treviso airport where upon arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred by coach to the hotel. After check in you will have time to relax or to explore your surroundings before dinner.

DAY 2             SATURDAY MAY 12th

After breakfast our local guide will take you on an excursion to see some of the beautiful costal towns in Slovenia. The excursion starts with Koper, where you will visit the market place before being give free time to explore on your own. Next is Izola, where you will take a walk through the old part of the town to the picturesque fishing harbour. A tour of Piran, a jewel of a medieval city follows. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

DAY 3             SUNDAY MAY 13th

Today is free for you to relax and enjoy. Maybe take a stroll on the beach or for the more energetic a visit to the Laguna Bernadin water park. Dinner tonight at the hotel.

DAY 4             MONDAY MAY 14th

After breakfast you depart on an excursion to the Slovene capital of Ljubljana. The city has all the amenities of a modern capital, while its size gives it the advantages of a small city. Ljubljana has managed to retain the human touch that most European capitals have lost. Set on the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is characterised by bridges, parks, green riverbanks and an integral natural beauty. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

DAY 5             TUESDAY MAY 15th

Another free day to spend at your leisure. Portoroz has a casino with more than 80 years of tradition, the largest and most modern Slovene marina and numerous restaurants and sidewalk cafes which can satisfy even the most discerning tourist. Dinner tonight  at your hotel.

DAY 6             WEDNESDAY MAY 16th

After breakfast you will depart on an excursion to the town of Porec in neighbouring Croatia. Porec is a historic town half way up the western side of the magnificent Istrian peninsula. A tourist haven which is rich in history and coastal beauty. Its heritage can be seen in the historic town centre with its in museums and galleries. Numerous guests probably do not realize that they are walking on streets built by the Romans, enriched with traces of other great cultures.

DAY 7             THURSDAY MAY 17th

A day of leisure.

DAY 8             FRIDAY MAY 18th

You will depart the hotel for your return coach transfer to the airport for your flight home to Dublin.
