We are delighted to offer this tour to Barcelona and the Costa Brava.  We will be staying for 7 nights in the seaside town of Lloret De Mar at the 4 star Hotel Aquarium   www.ghthotels.com

DAY 1

We depart Dublin Airport for our direct scheduled flight from Dublin to Girona.  On arrival our coach transfers us to our hotel in Lloret de Mar, a region of north-eastern Spain. The resort lies more or less midway between the historic cities of Girona and Barcelona

DAY 2

A day free to enjoy Lloret de Mar.   The town was founded in 1001 AD and has a deep seaside tradition.  It has one of the most popular beaches on the Costa Brava, 2 kilometres long with clear water.  There is also a medieval fort on the outskirts of the town, the Saint Joan’s castle (castell de sant Joan).

DAY 3

After breakfast you depart on a full day excursion to Barcelona. Barcelona has a wealth of history, art galleries, impressive architecture and of course the chance to go shopping.

DAY 4

After breakfast you depart on a full day excursion to Figueres and Roses. Figueres is a small city in northern Spain and is famous for being the birthplace of Salvador Dalí.  Roses is an essentially Mediterranean town with a notable seafaring tradition.  It is situated in a stunning natural setting, less than 30 kilometres from France.  It has 3000 years of history.

DAY 5

A day of leisure.

DAY 6

Today you make another visit to Barcelona, the capital and most populous city of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain. After a makeover lasting more than two decades, Barcelona has transformed itself into one of the most dynamic and stylish cities in the world.

DAY 7

Another free day.

DAY 8

After breakfast please check out of the hotel, and then you depart on an excursion to the city of Girona which has a rich, detailed, and dramatic history. The city's main historical attractions include its Roman ruins, the charming small streets of its Jewish quarter, the Arab Baths and the magnificent cathedral which dominates the whole city from high above the Onyar River. You will leave Girona in time to travel to the airport for your return flight home.
